MY VISON STATEMENT FOR PEACE EDUCATION IN EASTERN UKRAINE
To promote a culture of peace that consists of "values, attitude, behaviours and ways of life based on nonviolence, respect for human rights, intercultural understanding, tolerance solidarity, sharing and free flow of information and the free participation for women" (Adams, 2015, p.16). I wish for peace education to mitigate the negative consequences of the armed conflict on people, especially children and youth and to equip them in competences in nonviolent conflict resolution and respect for human rights. I wish for all children to grow and learn in a peaceful environment.
